Tell us what you’ll miss…

Posted by J Gallucci  Published in Uncategorized

Calling all Y5 children from Wilsden 2010-2011…

Please comment on this post telling the world about what you’ll miss from Y5. I hope that you can think of something so tell us what it is!

Remember all the things that you’ve learnt in English this year and make sure it’s a brilliant piece of writing as well as a thoughtful assessment of your time this year.

Looking forward to reading them…

Thanks to all for Ingleborough Hall!

Loving the photo of the day for Friday!!!

Can I say a quick thank you to all of the staff who worked so hard to make this year’s Ingleborough Hall Residential such a fantastic success! Without the hard work that everyone put in before and during the week, it couldn’t have happened and you all did a brilliant job!

Also, a massive thanks to all of our year 5′s who came on the trip this year. I had a great time with you all and I know that you all thoroughly enjoyed it too! Well done for everything that you achieved and thank you for a super week!

Ingleborough Hall Day 5

Posted by missrenton  Published in Uncategorized

Dear Children, Mums and Dads,

Hopefully you’ve managed to get some sleep after a fun packed week of activities at Ingleborough Hall. I’m sure that more than one of you will have had a huge sleep in yesterday AND today.

On behalf of myself, Mr Gallucci and all the Staff, both  from Wilsden and the Ingleborough Hall, I’m pleased to say that you have been a delight to spend  a week away with this week! You’ve been a credit to yourselves and the school.

Thank you Mums and Dads for the lovely comments you made on our blog, even the weather couldn’t stop us, though it did try.

Ingleborough Hall Day 3 & 4

Posted by missrenton  Published in Uncategorized

Sorry we couldn’t blog yesterday, they turned the Internet off here at Ingleborough Hall because of the weather.

We are having a great time and we can’t wait to see you all tomorrow.

Especially today we got really wet because it was raining, then raining, and then more rain. The cavers were probably the driest of them all even though they thought they got really wet.

The orienteering people and the walkers all dreaded going out side for their activities because of it, (but they still had fun!)

Love from all of Year 5 xxx

P.S check out our movie

Ingleborough Hall Day 2

Posted by missrenton  Published in Uncategorized

Hello All,

Today has been awesome. A group of us went caving which included us exploring 2 caves.

The first cave was called Thistle Cave; this involved us scrambling through small and narrow spaces. We got really wet! You should’ve seen our water angels!

The second cave, we went down by ourselves; Ben was leading with Max bringing up the rear! Don’t panic the instructors were there and we’re all safely back in one piece.

We’ve discovered that Wilsden Primary School has some very talented orienteerers. Who needs a SAT NAV?

Well that’s all for today folks!

Love from all of Year 5

Ingleborough Day 1

Posted by missrenton  Published in Uncategorized

Dear Mums and Dads,

Today the adventurous activities we did were show caving where you learnt history about caves, and how long they have been around for. After we had walked to the cave and got shown around we went to the show cave shop, which had loads of colourful stones, magnets and more interesting fossils. When we finished we walked back which is roughly a mile and a half.

We are having an amazing time!

We are about to go and do folk dancing which looks fascinating so we’ll talk to you again soon…

 Missing you all lots…

 Love everyone in Year 5.

Please look at our video below.
